Fictional story of Xenobia

On the planet Xenobia, which revolved around bright star of Aurelia developed a civilization. It survived with mythological religion of Xeno. While it was flourishing, on other side of xenobia other beliefs emerged. They called themselves Xenobians, Nobians, Confuxians. They started trading with Xenians. Over centuries they found root in country of Xenians. As time passed they all called themselves Xenians. Over time their rulers and commoners were so much drunk on power and glory that they lost it to country of Xenobians, and Confuxians. This created a huge problem in front of ruling class of Xenians - how to keep it's people unaware of this loss of superiority. Situation became worse with passing time. With passgae of time a ruling class emerged and was able to convince it's original Xenians about this information about loss of glory. They argued that mixing with others resulted in their loss of old wealth, wisdom and belief. They will bring back lost glory. Xenians gave them mandate to rule and bring back their lost glory. It went well for some time but slowly Xenians started to realise that while new rulers were well intentioned, they only know about how life was conducted few thousand years ago. Only way they can restore old glory is by making all creatures of Xenobia behave the way it behaved thousand years ago. Reverse journey started with lots of rituals but many Xenians refuse to board this reverse ship. How can Xenians regain their supremacy??? Answer isn't clear. Time will answer for Xenians if old rituals will bring back their glory.
